I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2014 with a B.S. in Biology and Political Science. I recently was accepted to medical school, and will begin in Fall 2016 (I have a solid grasp of science material, good pre-med advice, and understand the application process well).
Experience
I tutor because I enjoy teaching and working with students. As a future doctor, it will be important for me to be able to teach fellow colleagues and patients about health and disease. Tutoring helps me sharpen my teaching skills and fuels my drive to constantly learn. Hobbies
I have a calm demeanor, am patient, and take pride in my ability to work well with others. My hobbies include playing basketball (played 2 years on varsity) and guitar, going to the beach, hiking, and traveling. I enjoy serving as a role model to my younger brothers and my surrounding community, and have extensive coaching and volunteer experiences. After graduating college, I worked full time for a nonprofit and travelled to 7 resource-poor countries to help establish sustainable cancer prevention centers. Now, as I transition into getting ready for medical school, I am excited to be working with students to help them achieve their academic goals.
